Q235B straight seam high-frequency welded pipe is a type of straight seam welded steel pipe produced using high-frequency current induction welding technology. It uses Q235B carbon structural steel strip (coil) as raw material, which is cold-bent and then uses the skin effect and proximity effect of high-frequency current to instantly heat the weld edge to a molten state, achieving intermetallic bonding under pressure.
High-Frequency Welding Process for Q235B ERW Steel Pipes
The high-frequency welding process for Q235B ERW steel pipes is a core production step, based on the skin effect and proximity effect of high-frequency current. When the cold-formed Q235B steel strip pipe passes through the welding zone consisting of extrusion rollers and a high-frequency welding machine, a high-frequency current of 100-450kHz is highly concentrated on the narrow surface of the edge to be welded, rapidly heating it to a molten state of 1200-1500℃ within milliseconds. Subsequently, the extrusion rollers immediately apply specific pressure, forcibly forging the already plastic metal edge to achieve solid-state welding. This process requires no additional welding wire, and immediately after welding, a precision tooling system simultaneously removes the weld flash from both the inner and outer walls, forming a narrow, uniform, and dense weld with mechanical properties close to the base material. The entire system uses a real-time monitoring and feedback mechanism to ensure precise matching of core parameters such as welding power, pressure, and speed, guaranteeing the continuous stability of weld quality.
