ASTMA691 CM75 alloy welded pipe is a kind of electric fusion welded steel pipe widely used in high pressure and high temperature environment. Its manufacturing standard follows the A691 specification of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). This kind of steel pipe is mainly used in pipeline systems in industries such as petroleum, natural gas, chemical industry, and electric power, especially under conditions that need to withstand extreme working conditions.
In the material code of ASTMA691CM-75CL22 straight seam welded pipe, "CM" stands for chromium-molybdenum alloy steel, "75" means the minimum yield strength is 75ksi (about 517MPa), and "CL22" corresponds to the heat treatment process requirements.
According to the ASTM A691 standard, the steel pipe needs to undergo normalizing + tempering heat treatment to refine the grains and eliminate residual stress. Mechanical performance requirements include: tensile strength ≥90ksi (620MPa), elongation ≥18%, Charpy V-notch impact energy ≥54J (at -30℃). In addition, the steel pipe needs to pass 100% ultrasonic testing and eddy current testing to ensure that there are no defects.

ASTMA691CM-75 steel pipes are widely used in the following scenarios due to their excellent high temperature and high pressure resistance:
1. Oil and natural gas transportation: such as the acid gas gathering pipeline of an oil field in the Middle East, with a working pressure of 15MPa and a temperature of 120℃, which needs to resist H₂S corrosion;
2. Thermal power plants: high-temperature reheat steam pipelines for supercritical boilers, with a design temperature of 560℃ and a pressure of 4MPa;
3. Chemical equipment: the quench oil pipeline of an ethylene cracking unit needs to withstand 350℃ high temperature and sulfide corrosion.
Typical cases include the Khurais oil field project in Saudi Arabia, where the total length of the pipeline laid with ASTMA691CM-75 steel pipes exceeds 200 kilometers, with a pipe diameter of 24 inches and a wall thickness of 25.4mm. It has been successfully operated for 10 years without any failure records.
