A672 C55 EFW Pipe Description
A672 C55 electrofusion welded pipe is a straight seam electrofusion welded steel pipe based on the ASTM A672 standard, belonging to the 'C55' material grade (carbon steel or low alloy steel), suitable for medium temperature and medium pressure conditions. It is suitable for medium temperature and medium pressure service.
Production process:
LSAW (SAW or ERW), roll-formed and welded plates, welded seams are X-ray or ultrasonic flaw detected;
Some models require post-weld heat treatment (e.g. CL22 grade) to eliminate residual stresses and improve weld properties.
Material Composition:
Carbon steel or low alloy steel material, chemical composition in accordance with ASTM standard requirements (such as carbon, manganese, silicon content control).
Mechanical properties:
Tensile strength ≥ 415 MPa (refer to similar grade), yield strength ≥ 240 MPa, suitable for medium pressure environment;
Suitable media include water vapour, non-corrosive oil and gas and industrial fluids.
Specification range:
OD range: 406mm-3280mm, wall thickness: 4mm-50mm (customisable);
Support CL10-CL43 pressure level, can be selected according to working conditions
