3LPP Coated Pipe Description

 

 

3LPP consists of a three-layer structure corrosion-resistant coating, with thermosetting high-temperature FBE as the base layer, acrylic copolymer adhesive (AD) as the intermediate layer, and polypropylene (PP) as the surface layer. 3LPP combines the high bonding, oxidation resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance properties of FBE with the UV resistance, moisture resistance, aging resistance, insulation, and mechanical damage resistance properties of PP perfectly. 3LPP can be seen as an upgraded version of 3LPE corrosion protection layer. The temperature range suitable for 3LPP corrosion protection layer is -20°C to +110°C. Applications include buried, underwater pipelines for gas, water, oil, and other fluids.

3LPE heat shrinkable tape repair process: Preheating → Sandblasting and rust removal → Overlap layer feathering → Primer coating → Wrapping with heat shrinkable tape → Heating and shrinking the corrosion-resistant tape (venting air bubbles) → Secondary annealing → Smoothing heat shrinkable tape → Sealing with adhesive strips
