ERW Stainless Steel Square Tube

ERW stainless steel square tubes are created by rolling a flat steel strip into a rounded shape and then welding the edges together using electric resistance.

Electric resistance stainless steel welded pipe (ERW) is a lightweight and strong product sometimes referred to as precision pipe. This tubing is praised for its high-quality surface finish and tight manufacturing tolerances. Although ERW is manufactured using the same process as structural hollow sections, their uses in structural and load-bearing applications are not the same. ERW material is characterized by a bright silver surface, light oil, and small raised internal welds. This material offers high contour accuracy and small corner radii. External tolerances start from +/-0.2 mm and +/-10% in wall thickness. The low yield point and chemical values make it easier to machine, cold form, and fabricate into many demanding geometries.
