Product Analysis
Phosphorus content in steel shall not exceed 0.050%.
Permissible Variation in Weight and Dimensions
Each pile shall be weighed individually and its weight shall not vary more than 15% or 5% of the theoretical weight, which is calculated using its length and weight per unit length
Outside diameter shall not vary more than ±1% from the specified nominal outside diameter
Wall thickness at any point shall not exceed 12.5% of the specified wall thickness
Length
Single Random Length: 16 to 25 feet (4.88 to 7.62 meters)
Double Random Length: Over 25 feet to 35 feet (7.62 to 10.67 meters)
Uniform Length: ±1 inch variation is permitted
Ends
Pile shall be furnished with plain ends and the ends shall be deburred
When beveled ends are specified, the angle shall be 30 to 35 Product markings
Each pile shall be clearly stamped, punched or rolled to show: the manufacturer's name or brand, furnace batch number, manufacturer's process, type of spiral seam, outside diameter, nominal wall thickness, length, weight per unit length, specification name and grade.
