ASTM 321 stainless tube is primarily composed of chromium (17.0 - 19.0%), nickel (9.0 - 12.0%), and titanium (Ti: 5x(C + N) - 0.70), with additional elements including carbon (C ≤ 0.08), silicon (Si ≤ 1.00), manganese (Mn ≤ 2.00), phosphorus (P ≤ 0.045), and sulfur (S ≤ 0.03). The titanium content is specifically designed to be at least five times the combined carbon and nitrogen content, enhancing its resistance to intergranular corrosion.

Density: Approximately 8.03 kg/dm³ at 20°C.

Melting Point: Ranges from 1398 - 1427°C.

Specific Heat Capacity: 0.5 kg/(kg·K) at 0 - 100°C.

Thermal Conductivity: 22.2 W/(m·K) at 500°C and above.

Coefficient of Thermal Expansion: 16.6×10⁻⁶/K at 0 - 100°C, and 18.6×10⁻⁶/K at 0 - 546°C.

Modulus of Elasticity: 193 GPa at 20°C.

ASTM 321 stainless tube exhibits high tensile strength, good ductility, and excellent creep and stress rupture properties. It also demonstrates superior mechanical performance compared to 304 stainless steel, making it suitable for high-temperature welding components.

3. Corrosion Resistance

ASTM 321 stainless tube is known for its exceptional corrosion resistance in various environments, including wet, acidic, and alkaline conditions. The titanium stabilization provides outstanding resistance to intergranular corrosion, especially after exposure to temperatures ranging from 800°F to 1500°F (427°C to 816°C).
