Threaded Coupling

ASME B16.11 Threaded Coupling is a short piece of pipe with inner screw in NPT or BSP at both ends or one end. Class 3000 threaded coupling has various dimensions, size and weight chart. It comes in a variety sizes from 1/8 inch to 4 inch and length can be customized. While the shapes of coupling are full & half or straight & reducing. ANSI/ASME B16.11 coupling is a commonly used accessories in threaded pipe fittings for industrial pipe connections. They twist onto pipe using male and female thread connections including NPT or BSP.

BSP means "British Standard Pipe" and can be further divided into the BSPT (tapered) and BSPP (parallel). The threads have a 55° angle in this case.

NPT stands for "National Pipe Tapered" that is covered by the ASME B1.20.1 specification and based on 60° thread flank angles.
