Treatment Methods For Welding Defects Of Pressure Pipelines

1. Repair welding: For some smaller, repairable defects, such as pores, slag inclusions, and incomplete penetration, repair welding can be used to deal with them. Before repairing, the defective parts need to be thoroughly cleaned to remove impurities such as oxide scale, oil stains, slag, and then re-welded according to the prescribed welding process.
2. Repair welding: For local defects such as lack of fusion and undercut, repair welding can be used. When repairing, pay attention to controlling welding parameters and welding sequence to avoid new defects.

3. Grinding treatment: For minor surface defects, such as surface pores and slight undercuts, the defects can be removed by grinding to make the weld surface smooth. However, the thickness of the weld after grinding should meet the design requirements.
4. Cutting and re-welding: For serious welding defects, such as large areas of incomplete penetration and cracks, it may be necessary to cut off the defective parts, re-prepare the groove, and then weld.
5. Partial replacement: If the defects are concentrated on a certain section of the pipeline and cannot be effectively repaired by the above methods, partial replacement of the section of the pipeline can be considered.
