EN 593 Double Flange Double Eccentric Butterfly Valve

What is EN 593 Double Flange Double Eccentric Butterfly Valve

EN 593 double-eccentric flanged butterfly valve is commonly used for regulating and shutting off fluids. Its structural characteristic is that the axis of the valve shaft is offset from both the center of the disc and the center of the valve body passage. This design allows the disc to quickly disengage from the seat when the valve is opened, reducing friction between the disc and seat, lowering opening resistance and wear, and increasing the life of the seat. The double-eccentric butterfly valve controls the flow of the medium by rotating the valve stem, which drives the disc within the valve body. As the stem rotates, the disc rotates with it, changing the flow area of the medium in the pipeline and thereby regulating the flow rate. When closed, the disc and seat fit tightly together, forming an effective seal.
