Q355B Submerged Arc Welded Straight Seam Pipe Product Introduction
This is the grade of low-alloy high-strength structural steel specified in the Chinese National Standard (GB/T 1591-2018 "Low Alloy High-Strength Structural Steel"). It replaced the old grade Q345 and is one of the most widely used low-alloy high-strength steels currently. Q355B indicates that this steel has a yield strength of not less than 355 MPa and guarantees good impact toughness at room temperature (20°C).

Manufacturing of ERW High-Frequency Resistance Welded Steel Pipe
The manufacturing of Q355B high-frequency resistance welded pipe begins with a steel coil of a specific width. After uncoiling and leveling, it is gradually rolled into a cylindrical shape by multiple forming rollers. At this point, a high-frequency current is precisely applied to the edge of the pipe blank through contact welding or induction welding, utilizing the skin effect to instantly bring it to a molten state. Immediately afterwards, extrusion rollers apply enormous pressure to achieve a solid-state hot-pressed connection, forming a strong weld. Afterwards, internal and external burrs are simultaneously scraped off, and the welded pipe enters the cooling section and is sized by a sizing machine to ensure precise roundness and dimensions. Finally, after being cut to length by a flying saw, undergoing necessary non-destructive testing and visual inspection, this high-strength, high-toughness Q355B high-frequency resistance welded pipe is completed and ready for shipment.
