Introduction to Q235 Galvanized Straight Seam Welded Pipe
Q235 is a common carbon structural steel with a yield strength of approximately 235 MPa, which may vary with material thickness. Notably, galvanized Q235 steel pipes do not require special processing such as preheating or post-weld heat treatment during welding. They offer advantages such as practicality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high performance-to-price ratio. Q235 steel pipes are robust, durable, easy to weld, and possess excellent plasticity. They maintain their strength even when bent at low temperatures. Galvanizing Process of Q235 Galvanized Welded Pipe
The main galvanizing processes for Q235 galvanized welded pipe include the most widely used hot-dip galvanizing and the more precise electro-galvanizing. Hot-dip galvanizing involves immersing the welded pipe in molten zinc at approximately 450℃, forming a strong-adhesion alloy coating with a thickness of 45-100μm on its surface, providing excellent corrosion resistance. Electro-galvanizing, on the other hand, uses electrolysis to form a uniform, smooth, but thinner zinc layer on the steel pipe surface, making it more suitable for applications requiring high precision in appearance and dimensions, and in milder corrosive environments. Currently, hot-dip galvanizing has become the mainstream treatment process for this product category due to its excellent durability and cost-effectiveness.
