The 100% non-destructive testing system for welded steel pipes used in oil and gas transportation employs a multi-technology integration approach. Ultrasonic testing performs a full-length scan of the pipe weld to accurately identify internal defects such as incomplete fusion and porosity. This is combined with a real-time X-ray imaging system to simultaneously record the weld microstructure. Magnetic particle testing is then used to screen for surface cracks at the pipe ends and heat-affected zone. This comprehensive testing system ensures that the weld quality of each steel pipe meets the API 5L PSL2 standard requirements, with a defect detection sensitivity of up to 0.5mm. It fully covers longitudinal welds, spiral welds, and the base material area of ​​the pipe body, fundamentally guaranteeing the service safety of energy pipelines.
