GOST 20295 tubing is welded steel tubing used in the gas, oil and other industries.
The testing requirements for GOST 20295 steel pipe are as per the requirements:
From each pipe selected for parent material quality control, there shall be cut
One parent material template for making one tensile test sample and three samples for impact bending tests at each test temperature;
One base material template for making two samples for adhesive composition testing.
From each pipe selected for welded joint testing, a welded joint template shall be cut for making two samples for viscosity component testing.
Make one tensile test sample and three impact bending test samples.
It shall be permissible to straighten the billets used as specimens with static loads applied.
On the specimen used for the impact bending test of the parent material, a black residue from rolling shall be allowed to remain on both surfaces perpendicular to the axis of cutting.
