GB/T 3094-2000 Square Pipe

GB/T 3094-2000 square pipe is a structural plain section shaped steel pipe (referred to as steel pipe) made from carbon structural steel, high-quality carbon structural steel, and low-alloy high-strength structural steel. The grades for GB/T 3094-2000 square pipes include 10, 20, 35, and 45 steel; Q195, Q215, and Q235 steel; and Q295, Q345, and Q390 steel.

Surface Quality of GB/T 3094-2000 Square Pipe

1. The inner and outer surfaces of the steel pipe must be free from cracks, folds, scars, and delamination. These defects must be completely removed, and the removal depth should not exceed the negative deviation of the nominal wall thickness. The actual wall thickness at the removal site should not be less than the minimum value allowed by the wall thickness tolerance.
2. Other local defects that exceed the negative deviation of the wall thickness are allowed to exist.
3. For steel pipes delivered in the cold-worked state, phosphate and lubricant layers attached during manufacturing are allowed on the inner and outer surfaces. Upon agreement between both parties and specified in the contract, the supplier can remove the phosphate and lubricant layers.
4. Cold-drawn welded steel pipes must not have lap welding or overburning. The outer weld bead of the steel pipe must be removed, with the remaining height not exceeding 0.5 mm; the inner burr of the steel pipe weld is allowed to exist. Upon the buyer's request, and after agreement between both parties and specified in the contract, special provisions can be made for the inner burr.
