A572 GR42 Round Welding Steel Pipe Description
A572 Gr.42 Low-Alloy Welded Tubing is a high-strength, low-alloy structural steel welded tubing based on the ASTM A572 standard for heavy-duty structural engineering and mechanical engineering applications.
Chemical composition
Carbon (C) ≤ 0.23%, manganese (Mn) 0.80-1.35%, phosphorus (P) ≤ 0.04%, sulfur (S) ≤ 0.05%, and add niobium (Nb), vanadium (V) and other micro-alloying elements in order to refine the grain size and improve strength.
Yield strength ≥ 290 MPa, tensile strength ≥ 415 MPa, elongation ≥ 22%, room temperature impact toughness, suitable for dynamic loading scenarios.

Conforms to ASTM A572/A572M, a low alloy high strength structural steel with fine grain design to optimise mechanical properties.
Manufacturing process
Normalised Rolling (NR) or TMCP (TMCP) process is adopted to ensure organisational uniformity and high precision forming.
