API 5ST Coiled Tubing Description
Coiled tubing is a jointless tubing formed by welding several sections of flexible tubing with a length of more than 100 meters through butt welding or inclined welding. The length of coiled tubing is generally up to several hundred meters to several kilometers. It can be wound on a reel and used for specific downhole operations such as workover, drilling, perforation, stimulation, well completion, and logging.

Workover
With the advantages of long length,joint free and continuously running and pulling, the following workover operations can be realized such as scale cleaning and fishing in oil and gas well,jumper connection repair between coiled tubing and production tailpipe,squeeze cementing repair,maintenance of underground satellite well and so on.
Drilling
Many advantages such as joint free,no reducing, large bending degree, continuous running and pulling, dynamic sealing, high pressure, small volume and high efficiency, it provides a safety, advanced and effective technology for the short-radius, big-displacement, multi-lateral horizontal drilling,under-balanced drilling and slim-hole drilling.
Drilling and Grinding Bridge Plug
Coiled tubing can be used to drive the milling shoe to rotate at high speed through hydraulic power to drill and grind the bridge plug in the well, which can realize drilling and flushing construction continuously and has many advantages such as pressure-keeping operation,short construction period and high efficiency.
Fracturing
Coiled tubing can be used for the muti-stage drag fracturing operation in shale gas and coalbed methane horizontal wells,which can pull construction string under pressure to realize multiple-layer fracture step by step in one trip. There are many advantages such has continuous fracturing operation, high efficiency, high safety, no residual tools in well, no influence on well workover in later stage, etc.
Logging
Install transmission cable within the coiled tubing, combining material's stiffnesds and cable telemetry technology to provide the logging industrial with a fast, accurate and economical logging method.
Gathering and Transportation
Coiled tubing used for gathering and tranpostation has the characteristics of high strengh, high plasticity, long length, no joint, heavy loading pressure, which is applied in chemical fertilizer injection, gas injection and oil gathering, ect.
