The steel exhibits a tensile strength ranging from 400-550 MPa (58-80 ksi) and a yield strength of 250 MPa (36 ksi) for plates, shapes, and bars with a thickness up to 200mm (8 inches). For plates thicker than 200mm, the yield strength is 220 MPa (32 ksi). The elongation is a minimum of 20% for plates and bars in 200mm (8 in.) and 23% for those in 50mm (2 in.). Brinell hardness ranges from 119-162 based on the conversion from tensile strength.
