Q355B furnace welded pipe is a basic welded steel pipe made from low-alloy high-strength structural steel Q355B using traditional furnace welding technology. This product involves processes such as billet heating, piercing forming, and furnace welding to form a pipe with a continuous weld seam. Although the heat-affected zone is wider and the weld uniformity is slightly inferior to modern welded pipe processes, its simple production process and low manufacturing cost make it still valuable for applications such as ordinary building support structures, temporary facilities, and low-pressure fluid transportation where pressure requirements are not high. It primarily meets the needs of infrastructure projects where material costs are sensitive.

Hydrostatic Pressure Test of Q355B Continuous Furnace Welded Pipe

The pipe is filled with clean water and slowly pressurized to the specified test pressure (usually 1.5 times the design pressure of the corresponding specification), with a pressure holding time of no less than 10 seconds. A high-precision pressure sensor monitors pressure fluctuations in real time, while manual inspection of the weld seams and pipe body for leaks, abnormal deformation, etc., is conducted. The test system automatically records the pressure-time curve to verify the sealing integrity and pressure-bearing strength of the pipe body. Any abnormal pressure drop or visible leakage is considered unqualified, ensuring that every steel pipe leaving the factory meets the safety and reliability requirements under the minimum operating pressure.
