High frequency welding (HFW) is mainly used for ordinary or thin-walled steel pipes. It includes contact welding and induction welding. DC welding is usually used for small diameter steel pipes. Generally speaking, HFW is one of the ERW production methods and uses high frequency welding technology.

1. Fast heating speed, high production efficiency

2. Wide range of materials
High-frequency resistance welding belongs to the category of pressure welding, welding without external filler metal, avoiding the chemical metallurgical reaction between the welding material and the base metal and other problems, so it can be used for a wide range of materials, suitable for carbon steel welding, alloy steel, stainless steel and other metal materials welding.
3. Small size of welding heat-affected zone

4. uniform wall thickness of steel pipe, high dimensional accuracy
Straight seam high-frequency welded steel pipe is made of rolled steel strip by welding after cold deformation, wall thickness uniformity and surface quality is better than seamless steel pipe, especially the dimensional accuracy of the steel pipe is far better than seamless pipe or submerged arc welded pipe. At the same time, due to the use of hot rolled steel strip as raw material, the tube body of the inherent defects (such as cracks, inclusions, porosity, etc.) is very little, in more and more applications are used to replace seamless steel pipe. However, due to the limitation of molding equipment and heating power, the size of its pipe diameter and wall thickness are limited, and currently the pipe diameter is below Φ600mm and the wall thickness is below 13mm.
