ASTM A53 GR.B Resistance Welded Pipe

ASTM A53 Grade B ERW Pipe is a carbon steel pipe that comes under the ASTM A53 specification. The pipes range in dimensions according to the ASTM, ASME and API standards. The sizes of the pipes range from ½ inches to 36 inches in nominal bore sizes. 

The wall thickness of the pipe varies from 3mm to 12mm and the length of the pipe varies from 3m to 18m and in custom lengths as well. The Carbon Steel ASTM A53 Grade B Welded Pipe is welded from strips and sheets of the same grade of material. The pipes can have beveled, end, treaded end and plain end types.

The ASTM A53 Grade B Pipe Weight depends on the wall thickness, nominal bore size and the density of the material. The material has 240MPa minimum yield strength and 425MPa minimum tensile strength. The composition of the material has carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, copper, nickel, chromium, molybdenum and vanadium. The applications of the ASTM A53 Grade B is seen in gas processing, oil and gas transportation, other oil and gas industrial applications, offshore oil drilling applications, power generation plants, petrochemical applications and in high heat applications as well.
