A500 GRC Cold Rolled Steel Tube

A500 GRC Cold Drawn Tubes are carbon steel structural tubes based on the ASTM A500 standard, manufactured using the cold drawing process for applications requiring high dimensional accuracy, surface finish and mechanical properties.
Manufacturing process
Cold drawing process: hot rolled steel tubes are drawn, extruded or pierced at room temperature to significantly improve dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
Post-treatment: Passivation, coating or cold drawing can be performed to enhance corrosion resistance and mechanical strength.
Difference with hot rolled tubes: cold drawn tubes have higher precision and smoother surface; hot rolled tubes are prone to oxidised skin and larger dimensional deviation due to high temperature moulding.
