A691 1-1/4 CR CL 22 electric fusion welded pipe is a chromium-molybdenum alloy steel welded pipe of a specific specification, which is widely used in high temperature and high pressure industrial fields.
1. Material and composition characteristics
Alloy composition
It belongs to Cr-Mo heat-resistant steel, and its main components are chromium (Cr) content of about 1.25% and molybdenum (Mo) content of about 0.9%-1%. This alloy design gives the material excellent high temperature oxidation resistance and creep strength.
Name meaning
A691: ASTM standard number, standardizing electric fusion welded chromium-molybdenum alloy steel pipe.
1-1/4Cr: indicates that the chromium content is 1.25%.
CL22: represents the material grade (Class 22), which is similar to the seamless pipe standard SA-335 P11/P22 in composition but different in process.
2. Manufacturing process characteristics
Electrofusion welding (EFW)
It is manufactured by straight seam electric fusion welding process, and the edge of the tube blank is melted by high-frequency current to achieve seamless connection, and the weld strength is close to the parent material.
Key process control
Strict heat treatment (such as normalizing + tempering) is required to eliminate welding stress and ensure uniformity of organizational structure and stability of high temperature performance.
