EN10219 S275JR electric resistance welded pipe is a low alloy high strength structural steel pipe that complies with European standard EN 10219. It is manufactured by electric resistance welding process and has both efficient production and structural bearing performance. Its core characteristics and applications are as follows:

Definition and manufacturing process‌

• ‌Resistance welding process‌

The electric current is used to generate resistance heat at the edge of the tube billet to melt the metal, and then pressurize and weld it into shape. It is divided into low frequency and high frequency forms, and has the characteristics of continuous and efficient production‌.

• ‌Material composition‌

Grade S275JR ("S" means structural steel, "275" means minimum yield strength 275MPa, "JR" means impact energy ≥27J at 20℃), low carbon design (C≤0.21%, Mn≤1.50%) to ensure weldability and toughness‌.

Low carbon equivalent (CEV ≤ 0.42%) supports preheating-free welding and good cold forming adaptability‌;
Resistance welding process achieves high-efficiency, low-cost mass production, and supports customized large-diameter specifications (outer diameter up to 1422mm)‌.

• Environmental corrosion resistance‌

Copper elements (Cu ≤ 0.55%) work together with trace amounts of chromium/nickel to improve atmospheric corrosion resistance, and can be extended to industrial weak corrosion scenarios after galvanizing or 3PE coating‌
